Brigg FTTC

[link to this post]

I live in Hibaldstow a village which is served by the Brigg exchange.

The Brigg exchange has fibre. Some of the cabinets in the village have fibre.
Mine is cabinet 18 and does not have fibre

In a chat session with BT I was told they were trying to activate all the cabinets by the end of 2012.

My ISP has introduced a cap and want me to sign a 24 month contract for unlimited. I don't want to do this if I am getting fibre.

How can I find out when or if my cabinet will be enabled?

Thanks, Al

yeah, I have seen that but there is no mention of fibre on it. How far ahead does it look?

Thanks

It seems very hit or miss whether it reports a estimated date for FTTC.

Try emailing nga.enquiries at openreach.co.uk, but can take some time to get a reply.

Well roadworks appeared next to my cabinet earlier next week, and today a nice shiny new box is sitting there.

Line is still not showing any info fibre info tho.

Hope it wont be too long now.

Glad I didn't sign up for 24 months
