Replacing the OR RJ11

[link to this post]

After a somewhat dubious BT Infinity install I've just wall mounted the OR Modem and swapped out the OR supplied RJ11 from master to modem with a longer RJ headed 5m Cat5e. I made sure it was twisted pair. Does anyone know the exact spec of the cable? From what I've seen, the Modem is actually running consistently higher (1.5 to 2 Mbs) than before which is pleasantly surprising! If anyone is thinking about moving their modem but is worried about speed drops, I'd cautiously advise them to go ahead.

So long as the two wires in the centre pins are from the same pair then CAT3 through to CAT5 levels of twists should be fine.
