Curious minds thinking wink

OK on my line I getting infinity installed tuesday and this is for my line:

Telephone Number on Exchange CUMBERNAULD is served by Cabinet 90

Available Products

Downstream Line Rate(Mbps)

Upstream Line Rate(Mbps)

Downstream Range(Mbps)

WBC ADSL 2+ Up to 1 -- 1 to 3 Available
ADSL Max Up to 0.75 -- 0.75 to 2.5 Available
WBC Fixed Rate 1 -- -- Available
Fixed Rate 1 -- -- Available

Looking forward to the 41.6 possibly.

Now my sister has a broadband connection (in the next room) and:

Telephone Number on Exchange CUMBERNAULD is served by Cabinet 90

Available Products

Downstream Line Rate(Mbps)

Upstream Line Rate(Mbps)

Downstream Range(Mbps)

Availability Date

Featured Products
WBC ADSL 2+ Up to 1 -- 1 to 3.5 Available
ADSL Max Up to 1 -- 0.75 to 2.5 Available
WBC Fixed Rate 0.5 -- -- Available
Fixed Rate 0.5 -- -- Available

Now surely if I was getting it it would be available to her too? (She's not getting it installed anytime soon) but curious as to why my line would be diff and sister's? (I mean as I said she's in the next room)!

Odd (not complaining of course just curious as to why 2 lines could be so different considering the distance between the rooms)

Yes it could also be the cabinet is full of course. How long has your cabinet been accepting orders?

You could ask the engineer when he comes, see what he says.

Seems to have fixed itself all of a sudden for her:

WBC FTTC Up to 41.6 Up to 6.5 -- 12-Jun-13

That's when it will be available again apparenty.

That implies the FTTC cabinet ran out of resources - either a linecard, or it needed an additional tie-cable running to the PCP.

It obviously took account of the fact that your order for tomorrow had used up some of the last remaining resources, even if it hadn't been installed yet.
