No Plans Available - Due November?

[link to this post]

I am in an area served by a cabinet which apparently has a lot of 'profile' on it, however it's proving tough to get any specific information.

There appears to be no schedule at all for it beyond that it'll be complete by the end of the year. Is it normal for there to be 4 months to go and there still to be no plan of works to build out a cabinet?

Hunslet / MYHLT 82 is being watched by a number of people locally and from BT at a national level so it would seem odd if there are still no construction plans or timescales for when this beast is scheduled to go in.

Anyone reached out to NGA Enquiries, etc, and been unable to get information this close to enabling time?

I am trying to remember how mine went (which I did update on here which I think you followed).

But if I remember right I contacted NGA, they gave me an estimated date, at the time was no activity but I did have an estimated speed. So the first sign from my experience is a estimated speed appearing on the checker.

Then I think 2 or 3 months before I went live the cab went in and shortly after that cables were blown through the ducts. Once the cabinet went in the rest happened fairly fast. This is the cabinet opposite my window which isnt my cabinet. I am just assuming my cabinet had a similiar process.

edit

ok seems it was more than 3 months, after some quick digging.

Thank you - the concern was due to that nothing has apparently happened yet, and the date changed from 'November' to 'end of year'.

I guess this is going to be one of those where it all happens at once, streetworks suddenly appear for the near future, stuff gets built, stuff goes live.

Thanks.

Just a quick question if I may, the 'previously' was that the beastie would be stood in 'late summer'. The summer started on June 21st and ends on September 21st. Cutting it fine?

I wouldn't say so, it only takes a couple days to do the base and stand the cabinet, then wait for the rest.

Tad more to it than that given some new ducting across the road is needed both to get fibre to this guy and to supply extra e-sides given it's run out of them.

So far precisely nothing has been done at all towards getting this enabled and according to a senior manager within BT there are no timescales as to when anything will happen, hence my concern.

Nothing in the availability checker, apparently no work planned as yet, no registered streetworks, and this guy is going to be ready in 3 months?

I think it doesnt look too good for a november activation then.

Things could still happen very quickly of course.
