Have you tried disconnecting and turning off the modem for a couple of minutes? I'd reboot the router as well while you are at it.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 51.8/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Are you by any chance connecting by wireless?

Try using a network cable and turn off wireless if so, and see what effect that has.

Max: Upstream rate = 29439 Kbps, Downstream rate = 79020 Kbps
This line above shows what the modem thinks your maximum possible speed is, which is around 29Mbs up, and around 79Mbps down. So your attainable speeds are very good, and depending on your connection method (wi-fi or wired) you could benefit by changing to an 80/20 product.

Path: 0, Upstream rate = 9995 Kbps, Downstream rate = 39998 Kbps
This line shows that you are synced at 40 down and 10 up and clearly shows you are on a 40/10 product.

D: 1 1
This line shows your interleaving depth for down and up, and they are both at 1, which is basically interleaving off, which is known as fast path.

It could be a wireless problem, congestion on the network, somebody using your connection or even a virus swamping your connection.

Who's your ISP?

I am connected wired with cat5 cable, my ISP is sky, I'm AV is coming up clean i will try turning the wireless off now to make sure it's not that.
The thing that's worrying me is if I'm struggling to get 20mb now whats going to happen when I go onto 80/20
