Reducing my Headline Speed

[link to this post]

I'm looking to save a few pounds on my monthly broadband subscription.

My phone-line can only achieve around 25Mbps FTTC speed as I am about 900m from the cabinet.

I have the opportunity to transfer to an up to 38Mbps product.

Am I likely to notice any difference in throughput with Zen Internet (no throttling etc.) from my current, up to 76Mbps product?

The advertised upload speed is the same for both products.

No connection speeds should not change, only if you were getting over 40 Meg connection down and 10 Meg up currently would you see any drop in speed.

If on an older Zen fibre package, take a peek at the new pricing

If your telephone line is already with another WLR provider and you do not want to move it, then give Zen a call they might arrive at a deal.

Thanks Andrew,

Since I have already paid a year's advance line rental to BT, receive LR discount and free weekend and evening calls to 01, 02, 0845, etc. for committing to BT over the year, I was hoping to call Zen and pop the question.

Because of the above deal, I have no incentive to transfer the line to Zen and feel that £35 per month for 25Mbps FTTC is a bit too much.

However, like many others, I want to keep my broadband service with Zen.

Cheers
