FTTC - moving from PN to Sky

[link to this post]

Hi

I'm thinking of moving to Sky - I currently have FTTC with Plusnet. The Exchange Checker on Sam Knows shows that Sky is LLU in my exchange.

Am I likely to have any problems moving ?

Thanks

As long as you are out of your 18-month minimum term and your FTTC cabinet is not full, there should be no problem at all. There is a small chance of something going wrong with any migration of course.

Is your phone line rental also with PlusNet?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 51.8/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Phone and Fibre both with Plusnet.

Why would the cab being full have an impact? Surely I already have my "slot" in the cab?

Thanks

For some reason BT don't seem to be able to reconcile the fact that when migrating it is one in one out. So, they tend to only accept migration if there is a free connection in the cab despite the fact that there will be a connection freed up from the old connection.

In this case BT seem particularly thick.

How very dumb of them, As they i bet they won't be dumb enough to also send a engineer to do a managed install for a FTTC to FTTC migration as well . or would they ?

I don't think I would be brave enough to take that bet.
