From o2 LLU to FTTC

[link to this post]

Hi,

I'm currently on o2 LLU (recently bought out by Sky, but as far as I know my service is the same).

When FTTC is enabled, and I choose to buy a fibre package (assuming that's what I need to do to get FTTC) will the LLU affect this at all?

Thanks

If you are still on a WLR telephone and shared LLU ADSL2+ service then no it changes nothing.

No. Just get a MAC as usual for the LLU. Unless you go/have gone to full LLU on Sky, instead of your O2 partial LLU.

If you are on full LLU I don't think you need the MAC, but you will have to organise the phone as well.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.2/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Ok thanks - that's helpful smile

Yes I think I'm partial LLU as I pay my line rental to BT still and we have our phone through BT too.

Then yes you are smile.

I went from O2 LLU to IDNet FTTC with no trouble at all. Just a normal MAC as MrSaffron also said.

Oh IDNet I used to be with them before on ADSL up to 8Meg. But, it very expensive with low usage allowance with IDNet.
