FTTP Exchange, can't get it or FTTC... close to exchange

[link to this post]

In Bournemouth, accepting orders for FTTP supposedly. A cabinet is the other side of the road, the exchange is a couple of 100 yds behind that.

Checker says I am connected to Cabinet 64 which other checkers say is not part of a phase. Bt Openread vans are about the place blowing fibre (i've seen and spoken to engineers), but despite it being an FTTP/FTTC exchange with seemingly everywhere but close to the exchange, we can't get it...

any ideas?

Assume you are outside the Gigler footprint too? The alternate FTTP network in the town.

If the engineers are still playing with fibre visibly then it may just be a case of waiting.

Hmm... I'm not sure that ever happened... if it was linked to Cityfibre then it seems to have been extremely limited and doesn't appear to pass 21,000 homes wink

But i'm not convinced any work that is to be done hasn't been done already. Putting in other postcodes on the cabinet checker seems to return 'not part of a phase' or it's enabled.

Premises next door have had to go full leased line.

Yep. I'm one of them.

P64 Not part of a phase
P65 Not part of a phase
P2 Not part of a phase
P12 Not part of a phase
P80 Not part of a phase

There are 4 cabinets visible from our windows, (there may be others), 2 pairs, either side of the road... not sure of the numbers.

Ah, i'm getting not a UK postcode on the checker... for that and another one.

But BH11EP is connected to it and that says P64 not part of a phase...

Are the numbers written on the cabs?

I'm getting only 1 address for that postcode on the address checker "Address 115 OLD CHRISTCHURCH RD, BOURNEMOUTH, BH1 1HB on Exchange BOURNEMOUTH is served by Cabinet 64 "

The cab numbers are painted on the PCPs usually.
