FTTC coming in "Calendar Year 2014" according to Samknows.

[link to this post]

I just thought I'd check on my little exchange (about 500 telephone lines), which BT have neglected for years (Fordcombe/NDFOR), and notice the FTTC status has strangely changed to the "Calendar Year 2014".

Can this actually be true, or is this some sort of mug bluff by BT, given they couldn't even be bothered to upgrade it to 21CN???

Tell a lie...just spotted on the Openreach website and it actually says FTTP rather than FTTC

I'm assuming FTTP would be limited to those in close proximity to the exchange, and not us in the middle of nowhere.

Probably through the Kent BDUK project

Based on current project projections, the 2379 premises in TN3 0R should receive the following after rollout:

- 95% of premises should get fibre and/or superfast broadband
- 5% of premises should get basic broadband

So those figures are for a bigger area, but chances look good and a estimated date of July to Dec 2014 is given. It is not everyone so scope for you to be missed out.

Thanks MrSaffron.

I'm in the TN3 9T area...so the odds aren't as good for me (65% only getting fibre/superfast).
I just know I'll be in the 35% that get no benefit!
