BT fiber ordered today :- XTE-2005 faceplate?

[link to this post]

Finally my village has started accepting orders for fiber at some point this week (check most mondays but been busy this week and forgot till today)

Gone for infinity 2 with BT. Currently my BB is with sky.

A couple years back i fitted a XTE-2005 faceplate so i could filter the whole house.

Are BT going to turn there nose up when they see the unusual faceplate?

Should be no problem, but even if they do the Openreach faceplate includes the same filtering of extensions

Make sure he lets you have the XTE2005, rather than his binning it. If the OR one fails, it will work. Some engineers even leave them in place on request, instead of fitting the new one. That's up to you. I'd go for the new one smile.

I was wondering the same thing the other day. I guess you could put the XTE faceplate back on, you'd just end up with a very deep socket!
