MK2 FACEPLATE extension problems

[link to this post]

Having trouble getting my 2 extensions to work with above
Before i installed the MK2 i had the ADSLNation XTE-2005 so i had to remove this and start from scratch.

So on the new MK2 i have the A&B in the top corner and the standard 2,3,5 on the faceplate. I have tried connecting the white/blue wire to the A and the blue/white wire to B. Also tried the white/blue wire to 5 and the blue/white wire 2

And for the life of me i cannot get my extension phones to dial out
I should point out the extension phones are connected to filtered wall sockets

Also at the moment i am still on standard ADSL...if this makes a difference?
Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

If you don't use the filtered wall sockets, does 2 and 5 work?

just got one of the extensions with my filtered wall sockets working using the 2 and 5 and The working extension cable only has 4 wires and as i say i am connecting the wires to 2 and 5 and the phones works fine

The other wire cable has 6 wires and when i connect like the above the phone doesn't work. So i must need to connect another wire??

What was connected where on the back of the XTE-2005?

I assume you are using an NTE5A (normal faceplate) to attach to the Mk2 VDSL filter?

Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

For the phone to work only two wires should be needed.

If going to run the extensions from 2&5 then the filtered wall sockets are irrelevant, i.e. no need for them

Am wondering one of

1. A bad wire not helping
2. Some weird effect where the Mk2 does not work well with daisy chained filters.

Some (e.g. older BT) phones lack a ring capacitor so will either require the third wire to be connected on the extension wiring, or you can work around this by plugging the phone in via a connector which contains the necessary capacitor (I use old ADSL filters on a couple of my phones which works fine).
