nga enquiries team no longer responding to emails

[link to this post]

Fired off a message to the openreach nga enquiries email address, but It seems they are no longer responding directly frown

Thank you for your contact to us. Please note that we will not be responding to you by email but, would like to point you to the Openreach Superfast Fibre website and the FAQ section that will provide answers to the most commonly asked questions. It will also provide links to those service providers that sell fibre broadband at the moment so you can check if your particular line is enabled.

http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/

Which naturally is useless. Surely anyone who has gone to the trouble of tracking down the email address has already exhausted all the obvious avenues for information!

I sent one in a couple of weeks ago and had an auto-response message back that there was high demand and could be long delays, but it seems they've stopped entirely now. This new message was essentially the same as the first, I resent it because I had only included my phone number and not the full address, and was wondering if they'd decided not to respond for that reason.

Anyone know what the delays on responses have been like recently?

Ah well, hopefully the first is still in a queue and whoever gets to it won't just trash it.

From what I hear they have been getting hundreds of emails daily, a lot of them with petty questions and others are weekly repeats of previous emails. The cost associated with providing responses was probably getting astronomical - money which could be better spent in upgrading an exchange or installing a few more cabinets.

Quite. I'm surprised it lived this long. Also, as the commercial rollout draws to a close and fill-in/BDUK etc. are the main new installations I expect the degree of certainty wrt any given cabinet's RFS date with be even lower than up till now.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

They have more accurate info for cabinet completion dates but don't make that information available via the online checker, they've made a rod for their own backs.

They tried being more accurate but someone complained to the Advertising Standards Authority when a date was missed so they are having to be vague.

One poster here probably singlehandedly soaked up a good part of their budget.

AFAIK the dates they provided before the ASA complaint were still less accurate(nearest quarter?) than those you might get by contacting Openreach.

Yeah, it would be great if they included cabinet info on the interactive map, along with expected postcode level coverage for FTTP.
