Something looks to be limiting your http speeds

If you do a simple file download from our test files what speed do you get

Andrew,

Have just rerun from a different machine and got these results also the same with the BT checker

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results.html...

its slightly slower but that's because my son is on-line, but looks like the device i was using was causing a bottle neck on the first tests, (windows 8 for you).

There are two different BT speedtests. The wholesale one is much clearer.

Run the speedtest at http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/ and after the test choose ‘Further Diagnostics’to get the profile.

The retail one tries to be 'friendly', but hides lots of detail and dresses up the profile as a guessed sync speed.

And if just the IP Profile is required, the poster can ignore all the red instructions.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM
