Strange fibre behaviour

[link to this post]

Hi, I have had fibre broadband (FTTC)installed about two weeks ago. Generally stable, with occasional drop outs where the middle light on the openreach modem is not lit. I tried to reset the modem but without success, however when I tried ringing my ISP, the light comes on and connection is restored. I have now done this several times and it seems that when I loose connection, I can restore simply by using my landline. Does anyone know what is going on.
