FTTC go live date accuracy

[link to this post]

Hi All,

I live in Saxilby, Lincs and have been waiting for 3 years for FTTC to come to my village. It is finally here....well samknows.com says it should be. The date given on the website says 1st March 2014. The BT openreach website says March 2014....Coming soon.
Is there anyway I can find out the actual date for when it will be live? The cabinets are all in although no banners on them promoting fibre optic broadband yet (is this something they always do?)
Guess its probably a case of just waiting and it will happen eventually?

Thanks
Justin

Sam knows is not accurate for FTTC, the Openreach where and when focuses on exchange's, you need to use the BT wholesale adsl checker- use either telephone number or address if on sky/tt llu.

The advertising has no bearing on when a cabinet is ready- the wholesale checker is the only way to know when a cabinet is live.

Need to replace that recording with a similar one but 20 seconds in have a terrifying scream put in.
