http://www.thinkbroadband.com/btavailability.html the BT Wholesale checker will give a range, and am guessing that the figures you are getting are inside the range given there.

Why do you think you are on Cabinet 16.

Postcode is showing lots of cab 2 and cab 21 properties

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@56.004918,-4.73923,3a...

That is where PCP 16 is located.

I really do hope some of the details are wrong, because that is 1.5 miles by road from your postcode which is a LOT closer to cabinets 2 and 21

Has the phone number being moved across the town perhaps? And thus the records are out of step with the reality. This would explain the wide variation in estimates as probably getting figures from 3 cabinets depending on how an ISP checks.

On the BT Wholesale checker there is an option to check via your full address, try that, but don't use the post code only option. See if that lists the same cabinet.

Hi Jeremy, I'm also interested in FTTC in Helensburgh, for Duncan Road G84 9DH.
I understand it's on cabinet 9.
The checker says 31st May, so will keep checking.
It's got to be better than a 2Mbps service smile
