New Housing Estate / FTTC query

[link to this post]

Hi folks - apologies if this has been posted / asked elsewhere.

I'm moving house in a couple of months and I've scoured the net to try and get some sort of idea of whether FTTC is coming to the cabinet I will connect to at my new address.

I'm moving to an address which, according to the BT Wholesale Checker, is connected to Bathgate Exchange, Cabinet 43. Bathgate Exchange is FTTC enabled but there's no data at all for FTTC for Cabinet 43 on the BT Wholesale Checker.

Is there anything else I can check to see if the Cabinet will be updated at some point in the future?

Thanks, Wil

There's lots of FTTC about in EH48, but not on that cab unfortunately.

Will depend on the Rest of Scotland BDUK project now as no sign of a commercial date and as yet no sign of being covered by the project

Thanks to you both for your replies.

I had suspected it might not be in plans with the estate being fairly new, so a wee e-mail to my MSP I think to see what she can do to hurry things on (especially as her newsletter in Feb 2014 was about fibre broadband!) smile

Thanks, Will

I might be wrong but isn't there a section of new builds in Bathgate receiving FTTH?

I'm trying to find a copy of the excel/pdf sheet that used to be on the superfast when and where site but I can't locate it.

I'm sure the FTTH is for the new housing estate in Whitburn
