This is the first detailed guide I've seen as to how Openreach's DLM works for FTTC.

Useful knowledge.

Neat!

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 58.7/14.6Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

I'd like to have the barrier number in the Plusnet control panel.

interesting plusnet seem to have access to info which shows how many days until recovery, I wish they made this available to customers.

Interesting, but I've had the DLM take action outside the hours specified many times. Once our line suddenly became almost unusable, the DLM took action about an hour later around 13:30.

Hmmm my DLM haven't kick in yet since February 2014 when my Fibre was installed. I guess I was lucky one. How can I tell if DLM had kicked off?

Lower throughput speeds, higher base latency lower IP profile shown when using the performance tester , asking your ISP , or if you have an unlocked modem looking at the stats
