Rural FTTC

[link to this post]

Hi all!

My local exchange is a relatively small one serving only a few square miles but has been tagged as a 'Future Exchange' by Openreach to be upgraded to FTTC sometime this year (hopefully).
Because it's serving a small area there are currently no BT cabinets in the village that I am aware of, I have plugged a few numbers from around the village into the openreach DSL checker. All of the lines in the village seem to be exchange only.
My exchange for reference: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/EASBN

My question is this: what will BT do in this scenario? Is it likely that BT will be just be placing a cabinet right outside the exchange or will they be placing cabinets at various points around the village?
I live approximatley 0.5 Miles from the exchange with a line length of about 1km. I'm concerned that we will be stuck on an EO line and miss out on FTTC.

If anyone can shed any light on this it would be much appreciated!
Cheers
Jack
