BT Infinity Speed after the home hub 5 issues

[link to this post]

I have read this forum for years but have only just registered in the hope that someone can advise.

I have had the issue with the BT hub 5 dropping connection. BT seem to have fixed this but due to all the disconnections my speed has gone from 70Mbs to 45Mbs on speed tests.

The profile shows a higher rate but i can't acheive this on a speed test.

The stats from the home hub are below

1. Product name: BT Home Hub
2. Serial number: +076272+NQ33535988
3. Firmware version: Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.204 (Type A) Last updated 17/01/15
4. Board version: BT Hub 5A
5. DSL uptime: 2 days, 13:23:59
6. Data rate: 20000 / 60055
7. Maximum data rate: 24501 / 70563
8. Noise margin: 7.0 / 5.7
9. Line attenuation: 13.5 / 14.0
10. Signal attenuation: 13.5 / 14.1
11. Data sent/received: 506.2 MB / 37.8 GB
12. Broadband username: bthomehub@btbroadband.com
13. BT Wi-fi: Yes
14. 2.4 GHz Wireless network/SSID: BTHub5 2.4GHZ
15. 2.4 GHz Wireless connections: Enabled (802.11 b/g/n (up to 144 Mb/s))
16. 2.4 GHz Wireless security: WPA2
17. 2.4 GHz Wireless channel: Automatic (Smart Wireless)
18. 5 GHz Wireless network/SSID: BTHub5 5GHZ
19. 5 GHz Wireless connections: Enabled (802.11 a/n/ac (up to 1300 Mb/s))
20. 5 GHz Wireless security: WPA2
21. 5 GHz Wireless channel: Automatic (Smart Wireless)
22. Firewall: Default
23. MAC Address: cc:33:bb:f8:c9:c0
24. Modulation: G.993.2 Annex B
25. Software variant: AA
26. Boot loader: 1.0.0

Is this just DLM causing the lower speed results?

You might have slower speeds due to more people signing up on the cabinet for fibre. This is what I have learned after many people asking the same thing.

Your sync speed is 60Mbps down and 20Mb up. The problem is probably down to the speedtest, not DLM.
Try this one here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html?utm_sou...
