Status gone from PA to UR on openreach checker ?

[link to this post]

Hi

I have noticed recently that my exchange ( Finningley ) has gone from the status of Planned Area ( since last October ) and now shows Under Review for my cabinet ( 3 ) and a few others I have checked.

Does this mean that work may have already started in the Exchange ?

TIA

No. UR is probably a step backwards.

Well it was ES before then PA. I was under the impression that UR was more at a cabinet level from reading the stuff on the site.

Could be wrong !

It means they are surveying your area e.g. locating were to put new cables and the cabinets etc

i too noticed it had gone from PA to UR last week, and looking at the status types i thought it to be a step backwards but now im not too sure. also, i searched another address in finningley which came up as 'exploring solutions'. I was wondering how long areas stayed as planned area as it has been a planned area since may last year.

infact, maybe it is a step forward, as lines that are exchange only are showing as 'question mark'

From OR website:

A cabinet may be under review for a number of reasons, including local planning issues, (we still need planning permission in a number of scenarios, or planning due to safety reasons), problems with our underground network or issues with the supply of a suitable power source. Due to these reasons and the length of time it takes to resolve such problems, we are unable to give likely dates when the cabinet will be able to accept orders.

In the village where my parents live it was marked as PA for over a year then changed to UR about a month before they started installing the fibre cabs at the beginning of Feb this year. Roadworks.org had been showing the planned cabinet installation work since November last year.

All cabs went live of the 9th March.

Our cabinet went from coming soon DEC 2014 to Under Review.
We have now been informed that the cabinet was never planned for inclusion in the Fastershire rollout.
We will be considered for the final 10%.

Sounds like a step in the right direction to me.

I have checked a few lines on different cabs for the exchange and they are all showing UR
