FTTC Activation

[link to this post]

Hi all

1st Post.

We had openreach guys pulling fibre to our local cabinet in November last year. It's still not been activated tho.

Is there any way to check for an activation date for Cabinet 15, Stepps exchange?

Any info appreciated.

All I can fine is the following:
Enabled Area

You are connected to cabinet number 15 on served from the Glasgow Stepps exchange.

Your area is enabled for fibre but your cabinet is not ready yet so you can't place an order today. It is in our plans to be upgraded and we update this info weekly, so please check back later.
and...
Glasgow Stepps

Fibre broadband is currently available to some premises in this area.

Digital Scotland plans to extend fibre broadband coverage in this area. Work under the Digital Scotland programme means that the first premises in this area are currently expected to receive fibre broadband by the end of June 2015. Please note that engineering plans and delivery timescales depend on many factors and can be subject to change. All information is based on the best view we have today using our current plans. If you would like us to contact you when fibre broadband becomes available in your postcode area or to receive a copy of our regular newsletter register your details at http://www.digitalscotland.org/newsletter-signup/
My guesses would be end of June or maybe later.

Paul

Looks like the cabinet has now been installed, but no power or fibre connected yet. Think Openreach had to wait for Taylor Wimpey to stabilise the road by the loch before they could start work. The BT conduits run along the grassy verge by the loch and I do worry when they were digging up the area about half way along the loch that they may have damaged and blocked the conduits.
