FTTP Packages BT

[link to this post]

Hi guys,
We will be having FTTP available in the next few weeks, its currently in the final stages of its build, so not yet on the systems as its available,
what I would like to know is what packages do BT offer and what speed tiers,
I know with FTTC you can get 40/10, 80/20, but FTTP can manage more so,
Does anyone have any info on packages, prices and speed tiers?

Thanks.

For BT look at

Infinity 1 52/10
Infinity 2 80/20
Infinity 3 200/20 (may be 30 up)
Infinity 4 300/20 (may be 30 up)

On FTTP you can have Infinity 1, 2 3 or 4.

Infinit 1 and 2 are the same as FTTC, 55/10 and 80/20.

Infinity 3 is 200/20

infinity 4 is 300 down and either 20 or 30up, I can't recall.

Pricing wise, again Infinity 1 and 2 are the same. I believe Infinity 3 is around £42 a month and Infinity 4 is £53 a month.

Infinity 3 and 4 are 18 month contracts.

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/isp/bt.html

Infinity 1 & 2 are identical for C and P, Infinity 3 and 4 are unique to FTTP and are all listed at http://www.thinkbroadband.com/isp/bt.html

Strangely when I put my details into the BT website (native FTTP) there's no option for Infinity 2. Jumps from 25gb download limited 1 to unlimited 3...

Don't BT Consumer stop at 330/20? Saves them a few quid; the extra 10Mb up is another fiver a month.

EDIT: Confirmed, Consumer is 330/20.

I did find this priceless gem though while researching:

To be fair this won't trouble Virgin (for now) because of the small footprint but if its offered on FTTPoD in the future (no reason why not) and the install prices come down Virgin won't be able to touch this

Yeah, cable won't be able to touch this.
