WTTC - good or bad?

[link to this post]

Superfast Essex has rolled out its first WTTC implementation in Broxted. It's reporting it as a great success, which I suppose it is, although the area is hardly very rugged terrain or a vast distance from the exchange.

That's certainly saved some digging up of narrowish lanes for sure, and I presume it's a good deal cheaper than laying duct and fibre.

My questions:
G.fast - is that ever going to work over WTTC?
Are there likely to be capacity issues?
Will there be any opportunity to extend from the cabinet with fibre (ie FTToD)?
What's the maximum speed over WTTC with a " small football-sized transmitter dish"?

Yes instead of digging up streets ect

they just put a straight wireless link to the cab instead of fibre.

Nothing in the press report about how fast the Microwave Link is, but they can go 3Gbps and beyond these days.

And one tech companies wants to do G.Fast over it.

A neighbouring village to me has a microwave link to the cabinet (Northlew, Devon) which was funded by Connecting Devon and Somerset and serves a 288 Huawei cabinet, I have picture someone of the setup.
