Cabinet Information Request - Mattishall (EAMTS) PCP 5

[link to this post]

Hello! So after what must be three years, it seems the street next to my cab is being dug up. I'm sincerely hoping it's a fibre upgrade but am unable to get official confirmation from BT.

Would anyone happen to know any more info?

Cheers!! smile

FTTC being Built, live due by October 2016

Use the Ginp Formula to determine if your vdsl2 connection is with or without G.INP.
Divide your IP Profile by your Sync Speed and the answer is 0.9669 (with) or 0.9679 (without)

That's fantastic, thanks BatBoy! October seems far off... is that a normal turnaround? Roadworks.org says work will be complete by next week!

It could easily slip, but it's better than not even started.

There's a lot to do after erecting it and kitting it out. Fibre to the FTTC cabinet to be blown, links to the PCP to be made and power to be linked to are the main ones, but blocked ducts and such can make those take ages.

It sounds like if you are lucky you will get a new cabinet working at the same time as the government does wink.

From first on-site work for the local FTTC in Novemeber 2013, it was working and taking orders for upgrades in mid-March 2014, 2.5 months ahead of the expected/scheduled RFS date of 30th May 2014.

You may be lucky ....

About 28 done "simultaneously" in town, by Kelly, with detailed technical work by BT OR.

Don't know about the others.
