Your area is enabled for Superfast Fibre but demand is high?

[link to this post]

Hi,

On a daily basis, I have been checking the openreach website for fibre. And for 2 months, it has been on the 'connect' box. But the following day, it quickly changed to 'accepting orders', but with the message "Your area is enabled for Superfast Fibre but demand is high on your cabinet right now."

BT's site say's I still can't place an order, even when I called them. But is there anyone here with a similar experience to mine please?

So if BT say you can place an order, why not just do it??

There's an issue with the checker this morning.

My line also shows the same but work is yet to begin on the fibre cabinet.

Much the same for me, but I went from 'design' to 'accepting orders' but I'm still getting the
same lousy download speed

Of course you will be. It's a database error.

Even if it wasn't, the switch to FTTC isn't automatic. You need to order it.
