Sam Knows vs Openreach FTTP conflict?

[link to this post]

My exchange is Exmouth - Samknows says FTTP not available, the Openreach accepting orders pdf says FTTP is active -

https://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/products/super...

Beyond the document I've never heard of FTTP in Exmouth? How can I go about finding out what areas(if any) have it?

If you want to know for your own premises easy enough to see what the BT Wholesale checker says.

if you want a general area map for Exmouth, is that because you are thinking of moving to one?

The first thing I did was double check the standard BT adslchecker - nothing. General map/partial map ... simply want to know where it is?

Note that that document states FTTC/P which could suggest a small pocket of FTTP with the rest FTTC. The FTTP might still be in the planning stage, perhaps for some of the EO lines. Most PCPs already have FTTC twins with just 2 PCPs plus an EO bundle at the design stage.

It's likely it was initially planned, but plans changed.

I've checked the deployment sheets and cannot see any FTTP on Exmouth exchange, so go with what Samknows have.

So, having had a chat with someone in the know ... it seems there is actually a little FTTP in Exmouth - some in the centre, some on the outskirts. tongue

That's awesome! Still waiting for FTTPoD/FTTP here on the Colaton Raleigh exchange. I'm surprised that Sidmouth doesn't have it yet!

Sync: 40225/7660 Kbps.
