uSwitch speed test

[link to this post]

Was just offered a uSwitch speed test via a Google lead advert

Got 56.0 Mb down and 18.2 Mb up

Not bad for a 40/10 service on about 500 metres of aluminium cable from the FTTC cabinet.....

Strange.

Cheers!

Just tried the speed test on my line (BT Infinity 2) and got:

70.2Mb Down and 30.8Mb Up

I think there is something wrong with their speed test smile

On an Infinity 2 connection that normally gives around 75Mbps down, the Uswitch tester suggests I can get 100.9 Mbps!

It just told me I can get the following on my Infinity 4:
348.9Mbps Down
22.2Mbps Up

So that sites test is incorrect.

Unless uSwitch get it sorted, they will have a hard job selling anyone a faster service.

Cheers!

Well am sure a deal could be arranged if they wanted to talk to someone who I know very well about a test solution that meets their needs
