Where are Openreach's POPs for FTTC?

[link to this post]

I'm not sure quite how to phrase this, but where do all the little fibres end up?

I ask as my connection is currently down. Could be the router needs a kick, but I'm at work and can't try that.

I checked for open faults and there is one on Walton-On-Thames (01932), nearby, but not my exchange (High Wycombe - 01494.

It got me wondering if Wycombe is tied to Walton somehow, and from there, where the fibre actually runs around the country.

I googled and couldn't find anything like this information, so wondering if anyone on here has it.

Cheers,
AP

Cabinets are linked to common head ends in an exchange , sometimes from several different exchange areas. I don't know off hand where high Wycombe cabs link to, there maybe a head end locally, but I would not imagine they goto Walton on Thames

Thanks for the reply the Walton fault only lists 01932 as affected, so I guess that's not it.

Now I'm going to have to drive home at lunchtime just to satisfy my curiosity as to whether it's my (very reliable Fritzbox) router or not!

Cheers,
AP

High Wycombe is its own 'POP', as is Walton-on-Thames.

There are no reported copper/fibre faults by Openreach in your area at the moment.

Thanks for this. I rebooted the router, and checked the logs, and all I'm seeing are PPPoE timeouts (DSL is connected).

Will have to give Zen a call.

Cheers,
AP

Aaaand, went to call them and there's a recorded message that both Walton and Wycombe are having problems! Their status page has now been updated.

I wonder if there is any connection now!
