HG612 resync

[link to this post]

Had a few issues recently (in the home network sub forum) with my Homehub 5 and it causing my HG612 to re-sync. I now believe this was due to BT Agent / TR069 or maybe a possible worm, i'm not sure. That's all disabled and that now.

So this time yesterday with the default settings amended I plugged it in and left it at 61/20 which it usually syncs at.

It resynced overnight and i'm curious why. This line rarely drops, I've had 95 days uptime before.

I've never had the upstream attainable rate at 30286 before.

Everything ok with the line? Crosstalk is quite high round here.

I would say you have been banded at 60Mbps by Openreach DLM. I would add that the interleaving on Bearer 0 of 4/4 is quite unusual.

If you run the BT Wholesale speed test and go through to the Further Diagnostics I expect you will find the IP Profile is well below the expected 58Mbps for your sync.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 63086/13719Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

Download speed achieved during the test was - 55.79 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-56.89 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 56.89 Mbps

That's what happens when a line is banded. The sync rate seen by BT Wholesale is considerably below the rate reported by the user's modem. With G.INP active, as it is on your line, the IP Profile is 0.9669 x modem sync when not banded.

Strange that.

Had a power cut a few weeks ago and I must have beaten the other routers off the lights crosstalk wise and connected at 79999/19999.

Managed to get the full throughput.

What happens now then? Wait for DLM or is that it now?

Though you will doubtless hear of many examples of 'stuck' profiles (I believe Bob may have had one too,) yes waiting is the right thing to do.

Looks like my HomeHub5 was resetting 3x a day.

No wonder DLM has kicked in.

3x a day should not trouble DLM. 10x would
