New cabinet?

Description: Erect/Renew 1 PCP cabinet and base (600mm x 300mm x 1000mm),Install 3m of 3 poly ducts in Footway
Works ref: BC006CT001MW500237706900
Current status: Planned work about to start

Last updated on roadworks.org: 16:02 on 31/07/2017

Look like my cabinet going to be removed and renewal?

But why? Is it addition another cabinet or replaced? What going to happen to my currently fibre?

Newer cabinets have better blocks in them that don't need a crimping tool, are neater and allow for more cable blocks in them.

Well, I guess I was sucked in by the engineers "sales pitch" in that video laugh

Anything to reduce slapdash work by Kelly's has to be a good thing?

The plastic on the new connectors does appear from the video to be softer. I wonder if they'll be as robust or as easy to slide in/out on a cold January morning.
