Big Jump in Attainable Rate

[link to this post]

I have noticed there is a big jump in attainable rate.

Before:

Downstream Upstream
Line Coding (Trellis) On On
SNR Margin (dB) 6.1 12.9
Attenuation (dB) 11.7 0.0
Output Power (dBm) 12.5 0.0
Attainable Rate (Kbps) 81523 27708
Rate (Kbps) 80000 20000

Now:

Downstream Upstream
Line Coding (Trellis) On On
SNR Margin (dB) 15.4 21.2
Attenuation (dB) 10.3 0.0
Output Power (dBm) 12.5 0.0
Attainable Rate (Kbps) 119523 37916
Rate (Kbps) 80000 20000

Doubt a single crosstalker would see a 40meg fluctuation!

Not impossible though .... I have one close to me and the difference is 16-18 Mbps.

That's less than half the rate we're on about. Yeah it could be a couple of crosstalkers but unlikely they'd be off at the same time.

Something odd happening with your attenuation, 11.7 to 10.3 to 11.7 ...
