Can't order fttp

[link to this post]

I'm currently on by infinity 2 and look to upgrade to infinity 4. I have checked BT wholesale checker and it's showing fttc 330mb available in my area but when I put my phone number in the BT website infinity 3 or 4 don't show up as available. I'm not sure why this is or if there is an error that shows it's available on the BT wholesale site. Is there any other way to check if I can get fttp?

Given that you already have FTTC it's likely that you're mistaking FTTP on Demand for FTTP. What does the wholesale checker say precisely?

These are two different products with *very* different price points. Have a search on the forum for FTTPoD...

No it's FTTP on demand, see the description on the left of the screenshot. If it was normal FTTP it would say 'WBC FTTP' under feature products.

Yes FTTPoD is a different wholesale product. You have to pay an install charge to run fibre from an aggregation point and a hefty activation and monthly fee as well as have a 3 year contract. After 3 years you can then change to Infinity 4 as the connection is then treated as standard WBC FTTP from then on. See note in article here.

Makes sense now. I was thinking it's the same service. Thanks for explanation.
