Aberdeen to get Vodafone FTTP

[link to this post]

Aberdeen first city in Scotland to get full fibre broadband.

Considering CityFibre already have a FTTP network in Aberdeen (albeit business only) , perhaps not a huge surprise that this will be one of the (initial?) 12 cities for Vodafone/CityFibre FTTP partnership. Still good news of course.

This is good news.

I'm thinking the FTTP plans will be in stages, new builds/business, cities, then eventually push further out.

It's interesting to see Vodafone in particular doing this considering their recent talks looking at full fibre for the UK, like they have done in other countries.

Not surprise Aberdeen has been chosen.

Only a handful of new builds have OR FTTP and we have no VM coverage at all.

Once this goes live, Voda will be the go-to for <80mbps connections in the city. I'll certainly sign up!
