g.fast roll out

[link to this post]

Does anybody know if there is any documented g.fast rollout?

I see cabinets being adapted both near to where I live and where I work, but they just seem to be popping up at random...

Seems to be random from a non openreach perspective but quite rapid as i've seen pods appear in Glapwell & Shirebrook, Derbyshire over the past month (annoying as my Cab is one of two on Shirebrook Exchange that doesn't have fibre, lucky sods). I've also seen them pop up all over Milton Keynes (particularly New Bradwell) along with cityfibre roadworks.

And how many of those you have seen are actually live?

Seen one between Woodville and Blackfordby, near Swadlincote in Derbyshire. No idea whether it's live or not, but the area is part of the initial rollout.

In my area they installed a bundle (few hundred maybe) over the last year, then switched them all on at once recently. Not sure why they do it like that.

Also are they concentrating on areas where Virgin offer faster products, or is there a genuine commitment to more widescale deployment?

Why do you think cab 1 is live?

Cab 1 is in Glapwell on the PLEASLEY exchange but no signs on checker it is live.
