Sorry, Matt's been extremely busy this week and Mand rarely ventures forumwards now. PMs aren't really an ideal way to get support, if it's something you can start a thread about then it's more likely to be picked up by another member of the team.

Thanks Chris, at least for your response. I simply wanted to be assured that at the imminent end of my current 12 month contract with MAAF, I would be offered a 12 month contract renewal on exactly the same terms. For some years contact via PM has been a fast track method of contact with MAAF and was the very reason that I have stayed with MAAF for so long.

However if this situation is no longer considered reliable then I shall have to think again about staying with MAAF.

I had to phone the Customer Options Team (COT) in order to get a new deal, I was informed there was no 12 month contract period this year on renewing my contract.

Same deal as last year with no increase for the rise in VAT, can't complain.

Sadly It looks like any special relationship that once existed between this forum and MAAF operatives is dying on it's feet. This leaves only cost as the measure of this ISP as against any other and on that score alone really it doesn't stand out.

I don't believe that just because you "subscribe" to a forum you should expect any special treatment!

The system now means that everyone has access to the same playing field.

If it's a level playing field you're in favour of then I presume you are paying the normal advertised rate just like everyone else who doesn't know, by virtue of forums such as this, of any alternative.

Yes wink

When anything comes up for renewal (broadband, phone, car/home insurance) I never pay the qouted renewal price. I ring and ask for a better deal and if that's not forthcoming I go elsewhere!
