http://speedtester.bt.com/

Run a test there and see what IP Profile you're on.

Well now you know why the speedtest is so low.. The next step is to find why the IP Profile has been lowered to that level.

Do you have a TBB QM setup? It might be a could idea if not.

a what?

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping

It would help see any historical patterns and/or problems on the connection.

DLM will lower the IP Profile if it detects any line drops or an increase in errors.

Check it in an hour or two.

You'll see your latency and packet loss on the graph (And any line drops in the form of total packetloss).

You may have to enable ICMP pings on your router but wait an hour and see what the graph shows.

What exchange are you on? A bunch had works done to them early friday morning and my IP profile, like yours dropped to and is stuck on 500k . Interestingly there is more works coming up on those exchanges to reload the bras profile. Maybe the first lot didnt go too well.
