freenetname domains

[link to this post]

I have a free domain name from the old frreenetname company which was updated by madasafish. Today i received an email from nominet that my domain has expired and plusnet or madasafish has not updated it. Trying to contact them by phone is a long wait. Can anyone offer any assistance on how i can keep this updated.
Do their support people still visit here

Many thanks

Are you still a Plusnet subscriber? If not, you will probably have to contact Nominet directly. If you are a Plusnet subscriber, try posting in their Community forum here.

Edit: just noticed your sig says BT broadband so I guess not. Madasafish/Plusnet would not have continued to renew the domain after you had left.

Many thanks for your reply.
Nominet informs this as now expired. I am still a subscriber with plusnet/madasafish justmail account. They have always continued to renew in the past just a little suprised on nominets email.

I have just sent a pm to Chris Parr for assistance so hopefully they will be able to assist.

Thanks

My domain expired last year.

I contacted Plusnet (I'm still a customer) and they tried to say they would be charging me to renew it.

I soon put them right and, after getting the advisor to check with somebody else, the domain was renewed free of charge within 24 hours.

Part of me wonders if they're not automatically renewing to see how many people shout about it - I imagine they could save a fair bit of money!

Mind you, there can't be that many of us ex-Freenetname customers about now. Particularly as they no longer seem to want to give us any decent 'loyalty discount'.
