Public WiFi again?

[link to this post]

Hi, I notice with Orange latest increase in charges, the (unlimited public WiFi for pay monthly customers***) is back on the menu. Anyone know what this is about, does it mean Orange broadband customers can connect to Orange public WiFi with laptop or mobile phone for unlimited use? confused

http://shop.orange.co.uk/broadband/compare-all/ If current session closed, click again. grin

Hi Ash, wow thanks! That link gives lots of info, just what I wanted. I see the unlimited use allowance is up to 3GB per month and you must have a pay monthly mobile phone contract with Orange.
I did see just after I made my post that it is through BT Open Zone hotspots. smile

After studying the details it does not look so good, they say you also need a mobile Internet bundle to cover using other Internet data services outside the BT Wi-Fi hotspots. crazy

I was readingÖ
If you donít have a mobile internet bundle for your Orange mobile to cover using data services outside a WiFi hotspot, then youíll pay your planís daily mobile internet rate.

The Orange 20Meg broadband and landline phone service I have, which now looks it is BT gear and Orange pay BT. I find the broadband and landline phone services spot-on, it has never gone down in the fourteen months I have been with them and the speed has stayed constant.

So I am very happy with the Orange broadband and landline phone service, but will stick with T-Mobile for mobile phone, 300 calls, 300 texts, and 500MB Internet data £10.21 per month, Orange cannot beat that. wink
