[FIBRE ORDER] Bright Box 2 tracking number confusion

Hello all.

I am awaiting my Bright Box 2 delivery, and EE have given me what they SAY is a "tracking number", but which actually looks like an internal EE order reference. I have checked with EE three times, and this is all they have.

The order reference EE have told me is a "MyHermes" tracking No, is in this format (which neither MyHermes OR Yodel OR Parcelforce OR Royal mail sites recognise as valid):

FSBBXXXXXXXX (X = numeral). To me, the "FSBB" part seems to indicate "Fiber (Something) Bright Box". Do any of you who are on EE Fibre and who have a Bright Box 2, have any reference similar to this, in the given format?

Hi Took me 3 working days to get my box don't think I had any tacking info just turned up at door can be posted through letter box if not in . hope this info helps

Thought you couldn't get fibre at your exchange, EMCRANF?

So you talked EE into sending you a BB2 anyway?

I've no idea yet - they SAY they have - time will tell. All looking good though, but I'll let you know what happens.

So, after well over one year of stalling, broken promises, bluff and nonsense, advisors telling me the Bright Box 2 "Is worth £175, and only given to our fibre customers", being told it is "physically impossible" for them to send me one out, (blah blah blah blaaaah <insert corporate bluff excuses here> ) ... well guess what? One very nice man said to me "NOTHING is impossible" - and said he'd ordered me one (Yes, I have ADSL - fibre is not available on our exchange). Naturally I believed him as he was so nice and polite (AND gave me 1 month free ADSL + phone for all our speed issues lately). I didn't think it would actually arrive! laugh

Yes indeed - took long enough - and enough bluff was piped my way as "reasons" not to furnish me with one - not cool. Anyway, teardown and thorough investigation will be online within the week (I wanted to do it last year when it was new, you know?)
