But it's not really EE that's running your BB connection.

Some OR eng bent over at your cab and brushed his [censored] against your line. Don't worry, they'll notice it on Monday and have it fixed by midday.

Yep! There is a lot going on with BT Openreach connecting up customers Fibre-to-the-Cabinet broadband connections. smile
I would have FTTC, but if I change my contract I will lose my legacy perks, the £5 per month discount off homebroadband for having mobile phone contract and home phone week-days FREE evening calls. frown

There is an engineer down the end of our street almost every week. Fibre became available on my cabinet on Wednesday again only for it to be unavailable on Saturday when I made an enquiry about it.

Talking of intermittent connections/lines. I've had no trouble over the last month or so with no line drops or anything but today it has been almost impossible to watch any streaming video (youtube and the like) for large parts of the day. Even websites are not loading (or very slow in getting there) so there maybe something wrong on the network somewhere?

It recovered when I made that post Saturday at 18:20, but the connection had been down for about 3 hours that Saturday afternoon, it is most annoying when I wanted to use the Internet TV.
I have the TV connected to the router via Cat5e Ethernet cable and the PC is connected to the TV via HDMI cable. wink

I experienced a similar situation that afternoon just when I wanted to use the Internet for TV. I kept on trying throughout the afternoon to connect the TV to the Internet, eventually it all went blank then came up with "Connection unstable contact your ISP" and it had wiped all the Internet network setting from my TV. frown
