Brightbox 1 frequency

[link to this post]

Hi, I noticed that my Brightbox 1 frequency is 2.4 ghz. Is it worth changing it to 5 ghz and if so how. I am sure my laptop wifi card is capable of the higher speed..

What do you mean by changing it? You can't! It's not an option on the BB1. It's only frequency is 2.4 GHz.

You can always buy your own ADSL router that caters for a frequency of 5 GHz

I thought that BB1 is capable of both 2.4 and 5 frequency. Obviously I am wrong.

Neither the BB1 nor BB1R have dual (2.4 & 5 GHz) bands; only the BB2 does. They do, however, have dual bandwidths, 20 MHz or 20/40 MHz. That's not the same thing!
