Whats wrong with it?

Its correct to a degree, its meant to launch june 10th, so if steam says june 9th it probably means 11:59 june 9th.

What's wrong with it?

Really?!

They have put the release date later originally advertised - several times in fact - It has taken yeeaaarssss.

And yes. I'll still buy it, but well after GOOD reviews have been made. I just wouldn't be holding my breath until then. Simples.

grin

The trouble is peoples' fond memories of the first one, as you say from another era.

From what I have seen so far, I think there will be some very dissapointed people out there. frown

12 years I think. You're analysis isn't too far off. laugh Still, if it's close to capturing the magic of it's predecessor I'll likely pick it up.

We can watch as the sales rocket all the way to UP TO the £5-Or Less Bargain-Bucket...

Nukem was great in ye olde days - Do you really think that they could 'perfect' it more than what it was?

It has kinda lost a little bit through its years of excuses for its no-show[s]. Nothing more than it was is expected - Something better than that is demanded. And, it looks a bit like everything else now, but with the same financial letdowns as the rest.

No doubt it will need a few patches/maps/et al, but those will be an additional cash-cow. Selling Nukem clothes and games back to the people who played it originally, and their own kids will beat them. It will be the generation game.

They will have sequels ready soon.

It's all about trawling for OLD and NEW money. Just think: How much did it cost you before? And how much will they attempt to squirrel out you...

JUST SAY "not with MY money!!" - Not yet anyway! wink

Always be disappointed - that way, when it DOES turn to Crepe, you may pronounce, "Yup, and you wonder why that I didn't waste any cash on it?"

"Oh, I loved the old game, this MUST be as good, surely!? - Ok, how much could you feed your family for back then? Uh-huh, and booze & fags were 'reasonably' priced back then, I betcha? Yeah, and NO warnings either.

Bring back chippies wrapped in newspapers!!
