Tritton AX Pro gaming headsets

[link to this post]

Anybody used these? I have been trying to read up on true versus virtual surround sound. Many Internet forums claim 5.1 headphones are a con that don't work as promised. This link is not as negative:

I would rather have wired than wireless for sound quality and can get the Tritton AX Pro for 130 odd quid on shopto and game etc.

Anybody used these or is a cheaper set of PX21's gonna be as good for 50 quid? The DPX21 has virtual surround added but is 90 odd quid.

I'm using a Turtle Beach DSS which is a 7.1/5.1 sound processor that will make any set of headphones surround sound , even though this is virtual surround sound , i find it very good , in fact surprisingly good .

I understand when people say its not real surround but my ears are obviously stupid enough that they cant tell the difference .

With TalkTalk , not as bad as some might have you believe

Do you have the DSS sound processor unit or just the stereo headset?

My wife bought me a pair of X41's for my 360, sound quality is amazing.

Work great on the PC too.

I think I'm starting to settle on the wired Trittons now. Many good reviews of the sound quality. Might change again by the time I've got the free cash mind! tongue

Just the headset I think. There are controls to adjust chat volume, bass and game volume etc
