My achievement is to get NAT 1.

I've Done everything that I can do;
- Portfoward
- DMZ
- Static IP (PS3)
- UPnP
I try to login using PPPoE - But it does not Work
PS3 Says. "Obtain IP Address Failed"

My PPPoE is correct.

Sorry can't help. If you don't get any joy here you should try the AOL forum. Only thing is to check DHCP is enabled maybe? I don't know. I'm dumb.

My favorite game tells me I have a strict or moderate NAT Type. How can I change this to open?

Use the Internet Connection Test in the PS3 Network Settings. It will tell you NAT Type in terms of a number (1, 2, 3) and whether or not you have UPnP working. The best route to NAT Type Open is to make sure you have NAT Type 2, and UPnP enabled. Alternatively, you can also put your PS3 in the DMZ if UPnP isn't working on your router for NAT Type Open. Get NAT Type 2 before you start messing with port forwarding, DMZ and UPnP, or you will have headaches.
May or may not be something useful in here.

- DMZ
- PortFowarding

I Get NAT Type 2
My Target is Nat Type 1

From A reliable source, "To get nat type 1 you need to login with PPPoE."
I've tried it fails to obtain IP Address.

What is the problem you are trying to solve? i.e. which game is not working on the PS3?

Who is your reliable source and what's their opinion on the need for Nat type 1?

NAT type 1 means that there isn't a firewall involved, if you had at least a /30 then you would be able to get NAT type 1 with a router. You most likely have a single IP which means you would need to directly connect the PS3 to a modem to get NAT type 1.

NAT type 1 won't make your connection any better, it just means all the ports are open to the internet, what that means for you is that it will fix any problems connecting to other people. NAT type 2 is ideal, the ports can be opened either manually or automatically depending on the router. A DD-WRT compatible router would be ideal if you wanted a router that has flawless UPnP (ports being opened automatically for you on the fly).
