Cheap gaming PC

[link to this post]

I've not really PC gamed in years, the old PC i have is a Dell XPS Gen 5 (anchient) but at the time it was top of the range and cost me £2000ish

Is there any half decent gaming machines prebuilt that are worth looking at? I only want it to run average games and not to be amazing... things like Flight Sim X, CS:GO etc

You really want to go down the route of pre-built?
The thing is you can save yourself a considerable amount of cash if you build it yourself!

pre built is usually a bad idea, but how about this.

Buy that and replace the gpu.

Have you considered Novatech

They can even build to your own specification if you want a bespoke without having to build it yourself (although building PCs is a piece of cake these days).

Great delivery service from Novatech (in my experience anyway).

I desperately wanted to build my own, but it would just never of happened with what sometimes feels like permanent constraints on my time frown. I will definitely be rebuilding it at some point in the future though, which is far less intimidating to newcomers. Hopefully when the price of the AMD Nano halves.

It will fit perfectly in my micro case.

It usually takes me about an hour to build a PC from scratch these days (and I only do probably 1 a year) - then installing the OS can take an hour or so. It is relatively light on time and I do it just so I know exactly what components are in it.

Actually, the time to spec the machine generally is longer than the time to build it. I can spend many hours selecting the components. But, Novatech also do custom builds these days so can select many of the components and just let them build it for you.

Sounds good to me but I know nothing.
Is it something I should be spending my money on?
