Nintendo

Just supposing any of this is remotely true, what do you guys think of it?

Bearing in mind that DX12 proposes to allow CPU on board graphics to supplement the performance of (supported) discreet GPUs, it all sounds feasible from a coding perspective. Could this actually be what Nintendo are planning?

I think its bad to be honest, I invested in a wii-u and they abandoned it way too early.

I wont buy a console not knowing if it wont get past the 3 year mark.

Also 3 major consoles on the market is too many. (I dont count steam machine as thats not relevant).

nintendo are the worst, their games seem to stay at full price even years after release.

It's a interesting idea but I am sceptical, just look at the XBOX which was meant to be powered by the cloud. If they are going that route they should provide it from their own servers also which could then be supplemented by users consoles. If they release a under powered console and rely on the cloud I see that failing.

They really are going to have to do something spectacular to stand any chance against PS4 and XBOX One, especially releasing mid cycle.

Very cool but I'm not gonna hold my breath!!

Unfortunately Nintendo still have the issue of getting the 3rd partys back on board!

I'm not sure about the visuals going downhill when everybody is using their own device.

Like on Christmas day when you've just turned it on for the first time......along with half the planet!!
