vulkan vs opengl

unlike dx12 vs dx11

vulkan does seem to improve across all hardware vs the older opengl.

Got to be honest, it didn't float my boat other than looking nice.

Enjoyed the demo but that doesn't mean I'd enjoy a whole game of it so not sure, may go for something else.

doom is an alternative type of FPS for those who sick of all the ww2 and other stuff based on real life events. Also some of us hate games where you die so quickly, one or two shots bam you dead.

However the movement seems odd in this, moving around is way too fast like a turbo speed, compare to doom original game where so much better, not enough bobbing up and down also so it feels like floating (problem many modern FPS have) and viewpoint too close to ground (am I a dwarf?)

Thankfully they did add a option to hold the weapon in middle of screen tho which is how it should be, another thing I find odd about modern FPS is the diagonal angle of weapons.

Exactly why I didn't don't bother with it. Felt "off" somehow.

Oh, and not having to reload the weapons drove me nuts.
