AOL software

[link to this post]
I left AOL as my ISP a few months ago (after eight years) but find my new ISP is less satisfactory, so I am considering going back. I use Firefox as my browser so can I avoid installing the AOL browser and the associated software. My current ISP just required me to configure my router to connect.

If you connect to AOL via a router, then yes, don't install the software on network PCs. Access AOL email via the web and enjoy an AOL software free PC.

Access AOL email via the web
Or via POP3 to your email client.

You just lose Parental Controls. You can access AOL Help on their websire & your AOL a/c here: https://selfcare.myaolbroadband.co.uk/selfcare/app/
